LikeJournal Service Socially Streams Your Facebook Likes To Friends

You Google Chrome users should “Like” this one. LikeJournal is a new social Web app that connects with Facebook and shows you a history stream of all of your past “Likes.” The app also has a tab that lets you see a feed for your friends’ likes, as well.

Once you download a Google Chrome extension and then connect it to your Facebook account you are on your way. Your “Likes” will be listed chronologically, starting with your most recent addition and flow down from there. If you’re like me and have too many to easily sift through, there is also a handy search feature that lets you find a specific page in your stream. You can also access any of the pages in the feed with a click of your mouse.

My favorite part about this app is the little box next to the page name that lets you know how many other people have liked it and even provides the chance to unlike it. This makes it easy to discard a band page if you aren’t into them any more – a situation I’ve been finding myself in of late.

Overall, this is a cool extension. It’s pretty simple, but isn’t very much fun without other friends who use it. This doesn’t change the fact that turning your “Like” history into a social network of its own is a good idea. I think this is something Facebook itself should have done long ago to make its “Likes” a more fun aspect of its overall service. You never know, Facebook may “Like” this so much that it may incorporate something like this into its own service someday. A good idea is a good idea, after all.
