A New Jersey man was charged with second degree sexual assault and fourth degree criminal sexual conduct after he invited a teen girl he met on Facebook to his home. The young girl says that when she arrived, 18-year-old Jahki Alford forced himself on her even though she resisted. Alford is still in police custody.

The 17-year-old high school student began communicating with Alford on Facebook. It is unclear how long they knew each other online before they set up a meeting at his home. The girl convinced her mother to take her to Alford’s house by telling her that she and Alford have known each other for a long time.

According to reports, after the young teen arrived, Alford began making sexual advances towards her. Although the girl made it clear she was not interested in having sex with him, he allegedly forced himself on her anyway.

The following day, the young girl told her high school guidance counselor, who in turn told the school’s resource officers. Once the school’s detectives confirmed Alford’s identity on Facebook, the police were called. Alford was immediately arrested and charged.

The young man told a different story from his victim, but it seems like the police had enough evidence against him to keep him in jail and on $100,000 bail, which someone must pay in full instead of just 10 percent.
