Reddit Launches Official Chrome Extension, Lets You Vote, Comment On Links
On Thursday, Reddit launched its official extension for the Google Chrome Web browser. Whenever you click on a link from Reddit, the Reddit Companion extension displays contextual information in a bar at the top of the browser.
From this info bar, you can vote on, comment on or save the Reddit submission. In addition, if you receive any new messages, Reddit Companion will display a notification. The extension was an open source project, and was put together with the help of members of the Reddit community who contributed updates and bug fixes along with the message notifications.
Reddit has kept the functionality of the extension simple in order to release it as quickly as possible. You can download the extension from the Chrome Web Store now.
