Zynga, Farmers Insurance Team Up For ‘Cafe World’ Integration, Gives Away Miami Trip On Facebook

Farmers Insurance has teamed up with Zynga for another foray into social gaming, with a special feature being added to “Café World” this week. The company is also giving away a cooking trip to one of its Facebook fans.

Through Oct. 2, you’ll be protected against spoiled food when you place a statue of Professor Burke (as immortalized in the Farmers TV commercials) in your “Café World” café. You’ll be insured against your food going bad, in other words.

Meanwhile, Farmers is offering one of its Facebook fans the chance to win a cooking trip to Miami. The winner will receive round-trip airfare for 2, hotel accommodation and $500 spending money. The trip includes the chance to visit the Food Network Magazine Lounge, where celebrity chefs will be in attendance. All you have to do to enter is Like the Farmers Insurance Facebook Page (check out the official rules first).

Earlier this year, Farmers set a Guinness World Record for the highest number of Likes on a Facebook page in a 24-hour period — 2.04 million. The record was partly due to a “FarmVille” integration, as well as a sweepstakes that offered the chance to take a ride in the Farmers Airship.

Farmers took the record from Frito-Lay, which obtained 1,571,161 Likes in 24 hours in April. Previous record holders include Oreo and Lil’ Wayne.

The “Café World” integration does not spell the end of the road for Farmers’ partnership with Zynga, as the company will soon offer “CityVille” players the chance to win a trip to a major city.
