Despite the relative ease of use of Apple's iPad, there are some out there that prefer a smaller display. If you're a firm believer that an "iPad Mini" would be the perfect compliment to your digital life, this could be the event for you. Apple's special event - which begins today at 10 AM PDT in San Jose - is likely centered around a "mini me" variant of the popular tablet. Rumored features are scarce, but we expect the device to offer a 7.85-inch display, placing it center-stage with the Google (ASUS) Nexus 7 Android tablet.
Come hang out with me beginning at 12:45 PM Eastern (9:45 AM Pacific) as I recap the state of the tablet market, make some bad jokes, and talk about all things Apple. It'll be fun! I promise.
Thanks so much for tuning in to PhoneDog's liveblog of the Apple iPad mini event! Stay tuned for more on the site!
