Jailbreak iOS 9.2 Harder Than iOS 9.1, Release Imminent?
Today, we have yet another interesting update to share with you concerning jailbreaking, specifically the release of a new jailbreak iOS 9.2 utility and the difficulties involved in iOS 9.2 vs iOS 9.1. Developer Luca Todesco is back with more claims and pondering on twitter and we have the breakdown!
Following yesterday’s incredibly annoying teaser in which Todesco dangled an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak in front of us, only to state he isn’t going to release anything.
iOS 9.1 Easier To Jailbreak Than iOS 9.2?
The above video from YouTuber iCrackUriDevice highlights the latest from Todesco. Apparently the hacker claims that iOS 9.2 will be harder to jailbreak than iOS 9.1 because 9.1 can be jailbroken purely using publicly known exploits, whereas iOS 9.2 will require 0day exploits (those that haven’t been disclosed yet).
The Next Untethered Jailbreak
In theory a developer other than TaiG and Pangu (since they only focus on the latest public firmwares) can jailbreak 9.1 without burning through new exploits – though the chances of that happening before TaiG pushing their tool are slim.
