Yelp Brings New Languages To Business Accounts

Yelp has ramped up its international expansion with the launch of multilingual support for business accounts. The local business search network has been available in France, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands for some time, but it is only now bringing business accounts to those countries and users will be able to control their free business account in their native languages.

Starting Thursday, business owners in those countries can post Special Offers that will appear on their business listing and Yelp’s mobile apps. More than half a million offers have been created to date, with the ability to post check-in offers that users of the iPhone and Android apps can hunt down, unlock and redeem for savings.

Business owners will also be able to update their business information, including their opening hours and address, respond to reviews made about their company either privately or publicly and see for themselves how their business listing is performing on Yelp.

Yelp will be sending out Community Managers throughout Europe, including in the U.K. and Ireland, to show business owners how to best make use of business accounts and to promote their company on the service. To find out more and participate in the event, you can e-mail Yelp’s European business accounts department.

You can register for a business account in France, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands now. If you do not already have the Yelp app on your smart phone, you can download it for iPhone and Android.
