Gnip Adds Google+ To Suite Of Social Media Sources

Social media data provider Gnip has added Google+ to its suite of data sources. The integration was built using the Google+ search API to help you find relevant social data in real-time from Google+ using Gnip.

You’ll be able to find public Google+ posts and comments related to keywords and phrases that are relevant to your needs. Using Google+ data, Gnip claims to offer access to a normalized data format, unshortened URLs and deduplication of data.

Gnip provides its customers with a wide range of social media sources through which they can find a wealth of data on any topic. The service indexes data from the likes of Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr and StumbleUpon.

Gnip added Klout Scores and language filtering to its premium Twitter feeds in May and teamed up with Twitter and the U.S. Library of Congress to create an archive of public tweets for use in research in June.

If you are an existing Gnip customer, you can add Google+ to your Gnip Data Collectors by grabbing a Google+ API Key.
