GetGlue Overhauls Android App With New Look, Adds Sports Check-Ins, Sticker Specials And More

GetGlue has given its Android app a complete overhaul, with a fresh new look, sticker specials and an optimized check-in flow. Other features that have been added to the app include a new stream of friends and the option to check into sporting events and teams.

The app includes a Quick Rate option that helps you build up a list of your favorite topics faster. It also allows you to jump between different sections of the app using the menu button on your Android device and you can search from anywhere within the app.

The download size of the app is now smaller and there is support for more Android devices, including tablets, as well as landscape mode. While the app does not have support for Foursquare integration and push notifications just yet, GetGlue promises that these features will be added soon.

These latest updates bring Android closer in line with GetGlue’s iPhone app and website, which have offered sports check-ins and Foursquare integration since March.

You can check out the latest version of the GetGlue app by downloading it to your Android device now.

anyone knows how it’s called the class to get that top bar? i think it’s the same class that uses foursquare https://market.android.com/details?id=com.joelapenna.foursquared and facebook https://market.android.com/details?id=com.facebook.katana

check the screenshots please =) and if you know, comment here, i think it would give it a more intuitive layout to my project. Thanks in advance! :D

I feel this is a wasted effort. It’s basically http://m.getglue.com/ with a fancy app to coat it in. There isn’t even a android-looking icon.
