Zynga Brings ‘Hanging With Friends’ Social Game To Android

Back in June, Zynga launched a social Hangman-style game. The game, which is called “Hanging With Friends,” was initially only available on iOS devices, but now more people have the chance to play the game as Zynga has launched a version of the game for Android devices.

“Hanging With Friends” is now cross-platform, meaning that if you have an Android device and your friend has an iPhone, you can challenge them to a game. You can connect with friends using your With Friends account or Facebook Connect, while you can play up to 20 games simultaneously. As with the iOS version of the game, you’ll be able to access in-game chat and receive notifications when it’s your turn using your Android device.

Essentially, “Hanging With Friends” is a Hangman-style game that lets you challenge a friend to see who can hang on to their balloons the longest. You receive 5 balloons at the start of each game and each incorrect guess causes you to lose one of your balloons. Once you have lost all your balloons, you lose the game (and the bragging rights) to your friend.

Zynga announced the Android version of “Hanging With Friends” on the same day it teased the first details of “Mafia Wars 2” in a trailer video and one day after we reported the social gaming company was rolling out the “Lighthouse Cove” expansion in “FarmVille.”

You can check out “Hanging With Friends” by downloading it on your Android or iOS device now.

Please make Hanging with Friends so that it must have words over four letters.  I always had a rule in my hangman that you have to create words over four letters.  There can be over 1,000 different combinations even if you have one letter revealed.  I think those that put produce four letter words are ignorant or just lazy.  I can do the same on my plays and force the opponent out!  Is that fun? NO!
